Two important events in November means twice the fun with our team members!
It’s almost ready! This year’s Northwestern Alberta’s Vital Signs offers a snapshot of our communities, giving us an important opportunity to take measure of how we are doing in this pandemic era. The statistics and stories show the struggles and critical needs across our region. We are called to better understand the different experiences and vulnerabilities of people in our communities.
The numbers and narratives also inspire us: they offer insight into the many ways local citizens have learned to embrace ambiguity and harness a collective ingenuity, tackling the issues and steering us towards a newer normal and a future of new possibilities.
Along with our partners; City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie, MD of Greenview and supporters including the United Way Alberta Northwest and Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce, we are pleased to launch this important publication virtually on November 2, 2021. We are excited for opportunities to present to groups with the findings and make this publication easy to access. Ultimately, we look forward to reimagining community together!
Laura LaValley, CEO
Under the umbrella of Community Foundations of Canada, we have access to a wide network of professional resources and training at our fingertips.
In order for us to succeed, and for our fund holders to feel confident in their gift giving, we need to set up our regional Professional Advisors for success when handling the philanthropic giving conversation with their clients.
Offering educational training sessions, such as the one we’re hosting on November 4th with Paul Nazareth, VP Education and Development with Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP), assures our fellow advisors, potential fund holders and agencies have up to date knowledge on the ways gift planning is changing in our world today and tools on how to best prepare for those conversations to assure you’re getting the most out of your hard earned dollars.
Join us November 4th 2021 from 3-4:30pm to hear everything Paul has to share on charitable giving and estate planning.
