Volunteers from Sexsmith and area came together in 2009 to create a Regional Community Foundation in support of the communities they call home. The Foundation works with local citizens, service groups, families, etc. in establishing their funds under the Sexsmith fund in support of the community they call home.
Founded by Gil Balderston and Bob Rycroft and continued by the people of Sexsmith, these passionate members bring knowledge to the table and have a pulse on their communities. The Foundation’s set up as an endowment fund where donations of all sizes are pooled together in perpetuity and dedicated to ongoing funding support for charitable causes in the Sexsmith region.

As a result of the donations and support of local people, we are able to offer support to our local food bank, library and so many worthy needs. The Sexsmith & District Community Foundation Play for Community Golf & Fundraiser is being held on August 23, 2019. This annual event is hosted at the Morningview Park Golf Course. Please join us for some fun and support your local community!
