Rhonda is the friendly voice you hear when you call the Foundation. If you have questions about the Community Foundation or simply do not know how or where to begin, she is a great resource to contact.
Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Rhonda is very passionate for community and believes that community is vital to our well-being. Attending GPRC after high school in the Office Administration Program, she has always been dedicated about assisting others and loves her position at the Foundation.
One of the things she enjoys about Grande Prairie are the people. “On any given day I can be in or around my town and see someone I know, someone I’m related to, or someone who knows someone I know or I can even make a new friend!” It really is a small town feel considering the amount of people who live here and how much it has grown!
Authentic connections are important to Rhonda and she is always ready to listen to your story. She enjoys assisting others in their journey to create a meaningful life. On weekends you can sometimes find Rhonda and her husband camping and river boating throughout northwestern Alberta and BC.
Rhonda believes in giving back to her community and is currently the Chair at the Society for Support to Pregnant and Parenting Teens as well as the chair of their governance commitee. She has been involved in the 4-H community with her children as a leader and volunteer, as well as school committees in the Peace Wapiti School Division, and was a United Way Representative at a former work place.
