Reimagining Community Together – August 2022

As summer winds down, I am incredibly grateful for the many opportunities to connect in person with so many during these past few months.  It has filled my bucket to be able to attend events and naturally connect with people.  I hope that this summer has provided you with time to relax, reflect and play!

In our office, we are celebrating an incredible increase in the amount of student award applications received.  We introduced a new portal in which initial feedback has been very positive!  It is simplified, making sure the application process is not too difficult, but it also allowed for students to apply for awards they may not have been aware that they were eligible for. Our fund holders have the opportunity to impact the lives of students.  And students are able to put their ambitions into action!  Stay tuned as we announce the scholarship recipients!

We are honored to announce the addition of Brittany Kelsey to our team. Brittany started mid-August in our Development Manager role. She has lengthy experience within the not-for-profit sector and is passionate about building community! We know she will bring her many talents and attributes to best support our work!  Please help us to welcome Brittany to our Foundation!

Reminder!! We are currently accepting applications from community groups seeking funding!  Our portal closes September 30th. Please contact our office if you need support as you submit your application. We are here to help!

As fall descends upon us, please ensure you are connected to our communication channels!  We’d love to interact with you on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok), through our website and newsletters, and in person!  Please reach out if you see an opportunity for us to connect!  Even as summer comes to a close, we are eager to continue our important work alongside each of you!

Warmly,

Laura LaValley, CEO

Welcoming Brittany Kelsey!
