Laura LaValley

Chief Executive Officer

Laura is inspired by community builders, thrives in teamwork, and loves to make meaningful connections.

Born in Grande Prairie, and raised on a farm near DeBolt, Laura has strong connections to our region.  From her deep seated pioneer family roots and her long time volunteer work, to her lengthy career in local not for profit organizations, Laura is a great resource for information and helping others leave their legacy.

A GPRC alumnus, Laura attended the business program, specifically marketing and management. From the beginning she always had a passion for the non profit sector.  Giving of her time and talents to groups and organizations that better the region has been a north star in her career path.

Laura has been involved in emergency response, managed a community capital campaign, planned many local fundraisers and continues to be an active school volunteer.  She is always most at home when she has the opportunity to work as a team with diverse people who love to give back to their community.

Laura has lived on a bison ranch near Bezanson for the past 21 years with her husband Tyler, and 3 teenaged children; Mason, Carter and Sierra.  The LaValley’s enjoy camping, curling, and skiing.  Laura’s best days are the ones spent on the sidelines watching her kids do something they love.  Friends and family are never far away, and good food and conversation are necessities!
