As the recipient of a 2018 Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta award, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for the tremendous support that your organization and donors have provided me through this scholarship. This funding has enabled me to focus more on my studies and clinicals as I pursue my B.Sc. degree in nursing. With your generous support, I can concomitantly devote more time towards volunteering at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital and sharing my passion of yoga with individuals from all walks of life in our community in an effort to promote physical and mental health.
As a yoga teacher and a lifelong student, I believe that as we journey inwards to discover alignment with the body, breath, and mind, we begin to remember who we truly are, and that with this awareness comes a happier life. In the ensuing years, I aspire to become an oncologist and I hope that I can have the opportunity to care for the citizens of the Peace region. I feel very lucky to have your support, thank you!
