Strength and compassion were defining aspects of Eleanor “Jean” Duplessis’ character in life and continue to be part of her legacy through a special fund established by her children, Doug, Lorna and Norm, with the Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta.
Focused on Jean’s strong belief that “education is something they can never take from you,” the Jean Duplessis Family Legacy Fund has supported nine local post secondary students since it was created in 2012 after Jean’s passing in 2011 at the age of 81.
The Community Foundation is proud to work with Jean’s family to continue to impact local students to achieve their post-secondary dream.

Earnings from your gift are distributed to a graduate of a school under the Grande Prairie Public School Division who is registered in post-secondary education in the education or nursing program, with priority to students who are single parents and/or expressed financial need.
