This academic funding will help me pay for the next semester of my nursing education. This funding is also extremely important to me as I was in a car accident during my first year of nursing education. I do not have to stress as much about where my tuition money is coming from and I can therefore focus more wholly on my nursing education and my health versus stressing about finances. This funding has helped me get one step closer to accomplishing my dream of becoming a nurse in the rural peace region. I also extremely grateful for the individual organizations and the Community Foundation that have made funding my dreams possible.
Deanna is the recipient of the Andrea Vavrek Memorial Fund and the Gib Popkey Legacy Fund. She is currently attending GPRC and studying nursing.
