The new Sexsmith Community Foundation Fund gives local citizens a way to give back to their community and demonstrate their community pride.

The Sexsmith Community Foundation Fund will be community led – meaning all important decisions about how Sexsmith will benefit from its community fund are made by those closest to the issues. This new committee has been created entirely of those who live and have a meaningful connection to the Sexsmith area. Chaired by Gilbert Balderston, other members will include Norm Van Polen, Delayne Weeks, Bob Rycroft, Larry Anderson and Dennis Milligan. These local leaders will selflessly serve to ensure the Sexsmith Community Foundation Fund supports Sexsmith’s current priorities as well as its emerging needs and opportunities for the future.

Wise stewardship of this investment by the Community Foundation of Greater Grande Prairie will ensure the Sexsmith Community Fund becomes a permanent community asset that will enhance the quality of life in this community forever.

Donations of all sizes are pooled together into a single fund that will support charitable causes in the Sexsmith area for generations to come. Only the income from these funds is disbursed annually. This ensures the Sexsmith Community Fund is helping to build long-term community assets to support the health and vitality of its community, today, tomorrow and forever.
