Another Success Story!

There's nothing better than a good old fashioned barbeque to bring people together in the summer. That was exactly the idea behind the Grande Spirit Foundation's Traveling Barbeque project, and with help from the Susan and David Ainsworth Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Grande Prairie, it’ has become a reality.

Mission

The Community Foundation of Greater Grande Prairie inspires philanthropy by providing a way for anyone to leave a lasting legacy to our community through permanent endowment building, responsible grants and leadership to meet our community’s needs for today, tomorrow and forever.

Leading us into Tomorrow

The Foundation operates under the guidance of a diverse group of community-minded volunteers. The Board of Directors brings to the table a wealth of expertise, ideas, and enthusiasm for the work of the Foundation. These volunteers set direction and standards and monitor all facets of our operations.

The Foundation has four standing committees: Investment, Marketing and Communication, Fund Development, and Grant Making. Many additional volunteers contribute time to these committees, focusing on particular key activities and often providing recommendations to the Board to help meet its overall stewardship responsibilities.
